Welcome to the Turner Syndrome Society of Minnesota website. We are the Minnesota chapter of the Turner Syndrome Society. We meet in various locations in the Twin Cities once a month or so. We are a forum for both adult Turner women and parents of Turner girls. We feel we all benefit from getting to know each other. Our Mission is to “Create awareness, promote research and provide support for all persons touched by Turner syndrome.” Check out the planned activities on the Activity Page!

2017 Minnesota Turners Syndrome Walk

TS Walk flyer 2017

February is Turner Syndrome Awareness Month and we are pleased the Governor has issued the following proclamation:

The 4th Annual MN Chapter Butterfly fundraiser walk was  held September 17, 2016 at the Eagan Community Center.  The fundraiser was very successful and everyone seemed to have a good time.

A huge thank you to the following sponsors:

  • Starkey Hearing Technologies
  • Genentach
  • Pfizer
  • Novo Nordisk
  • Mall of America
  • Water Park of America
  • Ze’s Diner
  • Erik’s Bike Shop
  • MN Landscape Arboreteum
  • Pizza Man
  • HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Wellness

There were representatives from Novo Nordisk, Genetech and Pfizer at vendor tables.

Two representatives of The Math and Numeracy Lab at the University of Minnesota were present,  seeking participants ages 3 to 5 years old to take part in studies on early math learning and problem solving.

There were goodie bags and food provided this year along with free T-shirts for all those who registered in advance.

An on-line auction for hearing aids donated by the Starkey Hearing Technologies was held.  All proceeds went directly to the MN Chapter of the Turner Syndrome

We heard about the Chromosome X study being held at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

Additional information is on the 2016 TS walk page.
